2022/23 LABOR MARKET SURVEY
Can you help us, help you?
January 6, 2023 | Forestry Sector Council
Who do you have to do the work? How do you meet deadlines without enough staff? And what skills and certifications do staff need or need to upgrade? These are the things employers are thinking about, especially in a very competitive labour market. The more employers know about Nova Scotia’s labour market and what their competitors are doing, the easier it will be for them to plan profitable operations.
Our annual survey helps us keep vital labour market information current, which in turn informs our work in supporting employers. We would appreciate your help by completing our 2023 Workforce Insights Survey!
The Forestry Sector Council acts as a type of HR department for industry businesses that don’t have staff trained in HR. Completing the survey will provide us with valuable aggregate/combined labour market information. When we have the data, which only happens when employers complete the survey, we can see how challenges measure against other sectors and within the sector. It will helps us recommend policy, interpret and share trends using groovy graphs, and work on solutions to challenges with industry partners! Survey data also helps show salary structure and how your dollar amounts compare to others in the sector, as well as to other sectors with whom you will be competing for talent.
The person responsible for Human Resources in your organization is the ideal person to complete the survey.
Complete the survey by January 20th and you will receive a 20% discount on any new membership fee and you can be eligible for a gift card draw.
* Please note: If you have already spoken with Tommy Harper, this is the same survey. If you would like to speak with Tommy to do the survey in person, just let us know.
Many thanks–your time and participation are important and appreciated!
