Overview
We are currently seeking a full‑time Logging Truck Driver to join our Woodland Team. This role reports to the Woodland Manager and is responsible for transporting logs from remote forest locations to our sawmill, operating within Lunenburg and Queens Counties (local routes within 150 km — home daily).
Key Responsibilities:

Safely load/unload trucks and transport logs on both on‑ and off‑highway routes

Complete daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections (fluids, tires, lights, air systems, etc.)

Verify load documentation, inspect loads, and secure required signatures

Ensure routes are completed on time while maintaining safety standards
Skills/Abilities:
-
Strong commitment to safe work practices and compliance with company policies
-
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under pressure
-
Effective communication skills (verbal and written)

Physically capable of bending, reaching, lifting, and working outdoors in varied conditions

Availability for shiftwork (day/evening shifts), weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
Qualifications:
-
5+ years’ trucking experience (logging truck experience an asset)
-
Valid Nova Scotia Class 1 Driver’s License and clean driver’s abstract
-
Loading/unloading experience required
-
Basic mechanical skills
-
Must be eligible to work in Canada

$24–$26/hour, commensurate with experience
