Who should take this survey?
Anyone who generates income through work activities in the forest sector. During the survey, you will be prompted to disclose your type of work so that responses can be understood in context.
Is the survey anonymous?
Your survey responses are collected anonymously, and results are reported only in aggregate. At the end of the survey, you may choose to provide your contact information if you would like to be considered for a future focus group. If you do, your contact information is stored together with your survey submission, but it will never be shared with outside parties. Any reports we publish will not reference individual contact details. Providing your contact information is completely optional.
How long does it take?
About 10–15 minutes.
Do I have to answer every question?
No. Only questions marked with a red asterisk (*) are required. Your survey will not submit until those are completed. All other questions are optional and can be skipped.
Can I pause and resume?
Yes. You can save your progress on your device so you can return later. To do this, scroll to the bottom of the survey and select "Save as draft".
Will my employer see my individual responses?
No. Employers will never see individual survey responses. Results are shared only in aggregate, without names or identifying details.
What if I work in more than one role?
That’s fine. The survey will let you identify your main work type, and you can provide extra details if you do more than one.
Who uses the data?
The Forestry Sector Council and partners will use the feedback to plan training and workforce programs.
What happens with the information after the survey closes?
Responses are analyzed by the Forestry Sector Council. Findings will be used to inform training priorities and shared in summary form with partners, members, and the public.
Do I need internet or a specific device to complete the survey?
The survey can be completed on a phone, tablet, or computer with internet access.
Will I get the results?
Yes. We will share aggregate (anonymized) data insights with our partners, members, and online readers. Subscribe to our newsletter and follow our social media channels to be among the first to see post-survey reports when they are published.
I want to participate in a focus group. When will I hear more?
Respondents who express interest in a focus group can expect to hear from us between January 1 and February 1, 2026.
