Overview
We are seeking a Forestry Operations Supervisor to lead and oversee our woodland operations. This role is hands‑on, with extensive fieldwork, and is vital to managing timber harvesting, road construction, and overall woodland management. Reporting directly to the Woodlands Manager, the Forestry Operations Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and sustainable operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day‑to‑day activities with contractors
  • Build strong relationships with local contractors, stakeholders, and government agencies
  • Supervise harvesting, hauling, logging, and road‑building contractors while maintaining safety and quality standards
  • Develop and manage safety plans for contractors and team members
  • Assist with planning, road/boundary layout, and road/culvert inspections
  • Provide support with contract administration
Qualifications/Experience:
  • Minimum of 1 year forestry experience, a diploma or degree in forestry or a related field would be considered an asset
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and proven ability to lead teams successfully
  • Strong organizational and decision‑making skills
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs
  • Physically capable of bending, reaching, lifting, and working in extreme environments (hot, cold, rain, snow)
Compensation:
  • $60,000 – $75,000 Annually – commensurate with experience
  • Vehicle mileage paid weekly

Relocation:
